The Heart: Frida Kahlo in Paris by Marc Petitjean

Buy a copy

Grade: 3

The author, Marc Petitjean, wrote this book with an interesting approach and distinct manner regarding his father’s romance with Frida Kahlo during her brief 2 months stay in Paris in 1939.

He not only explains the reason his father was given Frida’s art piece “The Heart”, he also gave a description of it’s artistic meaning.

While it was an interesting view of Frida, it was all in all a very short span of time. It was a very quick and easy read.

Bottomline: If you’re interested in Frida’s life, you’ll enjoy the look at a time not readily discussed.
